Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience in manipulating data sets using SQL or another programming/scripting language.
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in working with networking infrastructure (engineering, financial analysis).
  • Experience in portfolio analysis and building prioritization framework for organizations.
  • Ability to influence without authority and able to interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will be an integral finance business partner to the team that builds and operates Google's network. You will become a financial expert, trusted partner, and responsible for providing actionable insights that have a meaningful impact on the business. You will have a unique opportunity to work regularly with the business leadership team. You will be deeply embedded in the business and expected to serve as a strategic partner (direction setter vs task taker).Your work, whether it's monthly/quarterly finance reviews, modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, will be used by our engineering, business, and finance leaders to make strategic resource allocation decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly finance reviews, annual planning and long range planning efforts
  • Plan and improve with business teams to achieve forecast accuracy and partner with business to develop business cases and diligence investment decisions
  • Develop and report the dashboard key metrics to proactively help business understand trends, both opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to identify opportunities to drive efficiency (value identification) and report on progress to help business team achieve the target efficiency/cost savings (value capture).
  • Lead portfolio reviews of technological investments.
