This role will assist with the review of data as part of the global consolidation and preparation of elimination entries to ensure accurate information for financial reporting. This position is responsible for the preparation of financial reporting schedules. This role is highly collaborative and visible with multiple stakeholders of the company. The ideal candidate is driven and motivated to help identify improvements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly intercompany elimination journal entries and review monthly corporate office consolidation for issues that require adjustment
- Analytical review statistical data submissions from Division as part of quarterly close process to ensure accuracy of data used for financial reporting
- Preparation of financial statements and schedules for the quarterly and annual reporting to Berkshire Hathaway and other stakeholders
- Prepare the monthly financial reporting packages to senior executives
- Evaluate commercial contract terms for appropriate accounting treatment (i.e., revenue recognition, embedded leases, liquidated damages, consignment, settlements)
- Review judgmental areas of accounting throughout the organization and assist with documentation of complex accounting matters
- Provide support and guidance on technical accounting to Division/plant contacts
- Serve as technical and functional advisor on our lease accounting system to Division/plant contacts
- Develop policies that adhere to company and general accounting standards
- Assist with streamlining systems and general accounting standards
- Support the internal and external auditors' processes
- Prepare other reporting needed for internal needs, government surveys, and other external requests
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferred
- 4-6 years of relevant financial reporting experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and key finance and accounting principles (ASC 842 experience a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think critically ask thoughtful questions
- Skilled to work independently with management oversight
- Organized with attention to detail
