How You'll Perform the Role


This role is responsible for providing analysis and financial support to the Operations and Corporate leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting analysis of plant performance with a focus on cost and overhead controls. He or she will proactively identify and bring to the attention of the leadership team opportunities to improve the financial performance of the business.
  • Prepare and/or ensure the integrity of monthly close process, cost review package, Key Performance Indicators and statistics for manufacturing
  • Develop and update periodic financial / operational forecasts and provide variance analysis as needed
  • Support Capital process by providing financial forecasts and payback analysis
  • Develop expert knowledge of reporting systems (MS Dynamics AX and Hyperion) and become intimately familiar with the data structures currently used. Write reports to extract data from the system
  • Maintain and develop complex spreadsheets, pivot tables and cubes as required for standard, recurring reports and analysis
  • Participate in cross-functional business improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls for Operations. Conduct periodic audits of internal control processes and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead the planning process for assigned business segment and promote accountability to achieve planned results
  • Interface with senior leadership team
  • Ongoing analysis of process change in a job cost environment, gross margin analysis and tracing of costing back to underlying activities in order to ensure the cost estimating system generates accurate costing
  • Provide detailed financial analysis on plant efficiency and key performance indicators such as throughputs, downtime, yields, rework, labor, etc.


What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related Business field. (Course work should include intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting)
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial or cost analysis role with an emphasis on financial modeling and forecasting
  • Experience in Big 4 accounting firm and/or Manufacturing industry is a plus
  • CPA / CMA / MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Clearly understand integrated financial systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical and financial skills, demonstrated strong economic thinking
  • Excellent business partnership skills
  • Must be flexible in a dynamic environment and have the ability to change priorities
  • Willing to lead change, improve processes, and solve problems
