GENERAL PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Manager, Store Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst, Store Finance will manage the core financial processes associated with Store Operating Expenses. The position will be responsible for consolidating annual and long term plans for store expense as well as managing the monthly forecast & close process. In addition, the role will help to provide leverage to the broader Store Ops Finance team, lead ad hoc analysis for stores, maintain and improve store reporting, and help ensure tight management of store expenses. The candidate will be required to effectively partner with key stakeholders throughout the Store Ops & Loss Prevention team, as well as other teams across Ross Corporate on an ongoing basis.

The base salary range for this role is $75,700 - $113,650. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manage annual and 5 Year Planning budget processes for all store-related expense accounts and budgets
• Ensure budgets and 5 Year Plans are based on sound assumptions and analytics, are accurate and submitted on time, and have been appropriately vetted and reviewed by relevant business partners using effective communication materials
• Prepare and validate journal entries (accruals & re-classes) and analyze open commitments for accuracy
• Monitor, research, and explain variances in actuals vs. budget and prior forecast
• Maintain expense tracking, forecasting and expenditure control processes, and support month-end and quarter-end reporting processes
• Prepare monthly expense forecasts for the Corporate Finance team, monthly accruals and journal entries, budget to actual variance analysis, and Blue Book and Board meeting budget explanations
• Train and support business partners and other partners in finance on financial processes and forecasting best practices
• Work with business partners to ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage relevant store-related expenses
• Manage select Store Expense accounts (e.g. Petty Cash, Travel, etc.). Provide financial support through ad hoc analysis where needed to support LP and Store Expense
• Develop and maintain effective process documentation that others can use to complete this role's deliverables and responsibilities as needed
• Support other partners in Store Finance and understand their roles & responsibilities, acting as a back-up when needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree required (preferably in an analytical field)
• Prefer 2-4 years of relevant work experience, with planning and forecasting experience desirable
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).
• Strong analytical ability - the candidate should be able to synthesize data, error check, and reconcile own work and manage others to accomplish the same
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
• Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
This position requires the ability to work in an office environment, including using a computer, attending meetings, working as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. Regular attendance also is a requirement of the position.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
