Senior Fire Inspector

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Fire Inspector in Monteclair, CA for a large engineering consulting company.
The fire inspector will be responsible for inspections of residential, commercial, industrial and other buildings during and after construction. This individual will be working collaboratively to ensure plan reviews, permits and other assigned work is completed timely and correctly. Additionally, this role will consist of inspecting structures and check plans to obtain code and ordinance compliance in all occupancy classifications as they relate to new construction, fire extinguishing systems, fire alarm systems, weed abatement, special events, complaints and related fire/life safety issues. In coordination with the Deputy Fire Marshal, coordinate inspection assignments. Interpret and enforce provisions of fire prevention, fire and life safety laws, codes, ordinances and other regulations. Perform periodic and follow-up inspections of new and existing buildings, structures and installations requiring Fire Department clearances.

Required Skills & Experience

ICC Certification F-2 Fire Inspector/Fire Inspector 2
Minimum of 10+ years experience in annual inspections with fire department in restaurants, factory, warehouse, and office environments.
Ability to life and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Thorough knowledge of state and local codes.
Municipal experience.
ICC Certification Fire Plans Examiner is highly desirable
