Senior Full Stack developer (Angular/React/ PHP-Mysql)

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Full Stack developer (Angular/React/ PHP-Mysql) who will be responsible for designing and architecting high-performance Java-based enterprise systems. They work closely with business stakeholders software developers and IT teams to create scalable secure and efficient solutions. This role involves defining architecture guidelines ensuring adherence to best practices and making technology decisions to align with long-term business objectives.

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Angular and React to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
• Implement server-side logic using PHP to support front-end functionalities.
• Utilize AWS services to deploy manage and scale web applications efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Write clean maintainable and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure smooth functionality and user experience.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster their growth.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience working with Angular and React frameworks.
• Demonstrate expertise in PHP Web Development (PHP-FPM 7.2) and MySQL 5.7.
• Experience using Symfony Messenger for async message queues (scheduled and ad-hoc)
• Experience working with Symfony Framework and server-side driven MVC
• Experience working with Apache
• Experience with AWS services for deployment and management is a nice to have.
• Have experience working in an agile development environment.
