Job Description:

Are you passionate about Drupal development and have experience working as a tech lead? AFS is looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Drupal Developer to support one of their projects.

• 3-6+ years of programming experience with object-oriented design and implementation

• 3-6+ years of experience with web technologies: JavaScript, XHTML, CSS

• 3-6+ years of experience with Drupal and PHP

• Experience with web-based applications and/or web services-based applications at massive scale

• Breadth of experience covering the "stack" of front-end web user interfaces and web servers through to back-end analysis and storage systems

• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix tools, and OS systems

• Significant prior experience in Javascript, CSS, HTML5, Ajax, $ or _, web frameworks like Express, AngularJS, ReactJS, or NextJS

• Significant prior experience with backend technologies not limited to NodeJS, Python, or Ruby and scalable server technologies

• Prior experience in Drupal 9 site building, development, or theming

• Prior experience in the development of a full-stack product

• Prior experience with Agile SCRUM and JIRA

• Prior experience in Amazon Web Services and DevOps delivery

• Familiarity with component driven development and SASS/LESS

• Familiarity with testing-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development practices

• Familiarity with Git workflows such as Gitflow (feature branching, pull requests, release tagging)

• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines, Jenkins, and configuration through code

• Familiarity with scalable, high availability databases, whether SQL or object-based

• You have at least one Acquia certification

What your day will look like:

• Identify and implement solutions to complex problems in full-stack platforms

• Produce quality, innovative, debuggable, testable and maintainable code

• Establish engineering best practices and craftsmanship while mentoring other coders

• Shape the engineering process to ensure successful, timely delivery of products

• Participate in design and architecture sessions with senior technical leads, and own the technical execution for platform development under their guidance

• Advocate for solutions to technical challenges, articulating schedule risk quality tradeoffs

• Collaborate across disciplines for positive, productive teamwork

• Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build highly scalable backend services

• Learn new things, fail fast, and explore new coding territory
