As a Senior Engineering Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the technical management of assigned projects, primarily within the geotechnical engineering discipline, and occasionally within the construction materials engineering and testing (CoMET) disciplines. Your responsibilities will include overseeing technical projects, supporting business growth in the San Antonio market, and fostering relationships with clients and key influencers.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
10+ years of experience within the Civil Engineering industry with a focus in geotechnical and construction material(s) testing
Supervisory or senior management experience
Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas OR if active in another state - the ability to active within the next 3 months

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Oversee staff performance in project management, client service, accounts receivable, quality, and safety. Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and professional development. Lead project management and address client feedback.
Planning: Contribute to financial revenue and profit goals. Collaborate with Marketplace Leaders and other divisions to support the marketplace plan.
Growth: Manage key client relationships and involve technical staff in growth efforts. Coordinate with the San Antonio Marketplace growth team and develop sales collateral.
Community Relations: Lead roles in community/professional associations aligned with company plans.
Safety: Support and adhere to safety activities and training. Assign safety officers and promote safety programs.
Quality Management: Implement Standard Operating Procedures and quality practices. Participate in health and safety objectives.
Mentorship: Provide mentorship and professional development. Assist in expanding service scope and technology.
Personnel Management: Make decisions on hiring, releases, and assignments. Evaluate financial reports and manage accounts receivable. Recruit qualified staff and review performance annually.
Additional Duties: Carry out corporate management assignments and perform other duties as assigned.
