Job Description

Job Responsibilities

In addition to the Job Functions, Tasks and Standards of the Hospital Care Investigator the Senior Hospital Care Investigator is responsible for the following tasks:
- Review accounts presented as new admissions for dissemination to staff as determined by the applicable process.
- Assign accounts via EPIC Financial Assistance Intake Work queues.
- Review high dollar accounts and monitor backlogs for timeliness of comments in EPIC.
- Systematically document assignments/outcomes of patient accounts via Blue mark, New York State of Health (NYSOH) and other implemented mechanisms for processing Medicaid applications.
- Prepare and maintain productivity reports daily, weekly, and monthly as requested by Supervisor and/or Management.
- Facilitate meetings/case conferences with staff (1:1) for the purpose of disseminating information and account reviews. Participates in meetings with Supervisor and/or Management.
- Assist with all aspects of the investigation process including but not limited to interviewing patients and family members as needed escalating complex accounts for guidance.
- Monitor and evaluate Hospital Care Investigators ability to apply investigative processes and procedures appropriately.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Responsibilities

Six months of service as a Hospital Care Investigator.
