Job Description

Summary of position:

The Human Resources Department is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Senior HR Coordinator to join our team at the Queens Assistance Center location. This pivotal role involves supervising one HR coordinator, managing various administrative HR task, serving as the HR liaison between staff and the HR department. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive and capable of handling multiple responsibilities with professionalism and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the HR liaison, ensuring task are completed accurately and timely.
  • Serve as the in-person point of contact at the Queens Assistance Center, handling inquires between staff and the HR department and routing appropriately.
  • Conduct new hire orientation on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Print job IDs for new employees & replacement ID's and handle distribution.
  • Collect and manage IDs returned by staff.
  • Handle the distribution of company swag and recognition items.
  • Run and manage queries for the OHS team on an as-needed basis to support the Admin team.
  • Occasionally cover the reception area in the absence of the HR liaison.
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.

  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments.


Minimum Qualifications
1. Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline; or
2. High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and two (2) years of relevant experience in human resources, administration, labor relations, employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition, customer service (providing information and resolving customer concerns), or a related administrative support function.
