Senior Industry Specialist, AWS China Security \u0026 Technology

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is looking for an experienced, organized, self-driven, and results-oriented program manager for the AWS Security China and Technology Organization. This organization is responsible for defining and driving innovative enhancements that raise the bar for Information Security for our customers, partners, and employees in China. In this role, you will lead cross-functional projects and programs that span multiple stakeholders, including product owners, engineers, operators, compliance specialists, finance and legal partners, and others. You will build bridges among these stakeholders to communicate visions and objectives, define project plans, align resources and priorities, and drive the delivery of innovative solutions to support the AWS business in China that can scale to support the global AWS business. Key job responsibilities

The leader in this role will be required to:

-\tManage multiple, sometimes competing, priorities simultaneously;

-\tDistill complex and ambiguous technical problems to their core elements;

-\tTranslate problems into business and technical requirements and tactical actions;

-\tIdentify and engage subject matter experts across multiple organizations (tech and non-tech) and disciplines to define potential solutions;

-\tScope the cost, technical, and operational impact of potential solutions;

-\tDevelop recommendations based upon data;

-\tCraft clear written and verbal communications about the problem, solutions and recommendations for audiences across functions and all levels (including executive leadership); and

-\tUse technical knowledge, data and strong communication skills to influence partners, stakeholders, and leaders to drive clear and timely decisions.

About the team

The AWS Security China and Technology Organization is responsible for all Information Security related to the AWS China business. Our teams include Regulatory Engagement, Audit & Compliance, Security Operations, and Security Solution Delivery. Our team members collaborate virtually from locations across China, other locations in Asia Pacific, and locations across North America with internal AWS teams as well as external AWS partners, customers, and regulators. We are passionate about delivering industry-leading security solutions for our customers and supporting the AWS business in China, while innovating to create globally-applicable solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of experience managing complex security and policy programs

- Academic or work experience in Information Security, Risk Management, and Security Policies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Advanced Academic Studies, Professional Certifications, or equivalent working experience in a technical field such as engineering or information technology

- Demonstrated experience delivering results through written and oral communication across working level to senior executive leadership in both technical and non-technical functions

- Experience working with virtual teams across borders, languages, and cultures

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Experience working across multiple organizations with tech and non-tech teams at a director and above level

- Experience working in China or remotely on projects and programs related to China

- Willingness to travel to domestically and internationally if required (travel restrictions and health conditions permitting)

- Mandarin Chinese language abilities not required but preferred
