Senior Software Engineers should have a solid understanding of software development principles, programming languages (such as JavaScript), web technologies (HTML, CSS), and server-side technologies.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interact with internal security partners and workload owners to enhance knowledge of web analytics and tag management security capabilities using Observepoint to help develop custom solutions to security gaps
  • Identify recurring problems and automated solutions to help scale and expand Observepoint use
  • Represent web analytics and tag management security engineering in enterprise-wide leadership groups focused on security initiatives
  • Work effectively across security, engineering, and architecture functions within the organization to affect change and enhance security strategies and posture
  • Design and develop strategies for security of web analytics and tag management that solve security and engineering customers' needs
  • Identify methods to implement or modify security solutions to better protect the enterprise from threats
  • Proactively explore emerging technologies and their potential impact on security teams, from the perspective of securing and protecting those technologies
  • Recommend and coordinate security strategies across teams via coordination with senior leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in the software engineering profession
  • 2+ years of experience with databases and basic schema development/design
  • 2+ years of experience building RESTful APIs
  • 2+ years of experience building web applications with JavaScript, C#, and/or Java
  • 2+ years of experience with "DevOps" - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • 1+ years of experience deploying apps on Amazon, Azure, or Google PAAS
  • 1+ years of experience working with Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Observepoint
  • Experience with Web Analytics & Tag Management
  • Experience with JavaScript and HTML/CSS

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
