Amazon is looking for a customer focused, driven, and analytical leader to join the Books organization.\r

The Sr. Instock Manager will own inventory strategies to drive supply chain efficiencies and maximize sales, margin and turns, working in a supply chain consultation capacity. This is a critical role helping us build, manage and optimize a complex procurement system. The role will be involved in all aspects of inventory planning and operational management, particularly with top vendors in Books. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.\r

Key areas of focus include driving improvement in inventory availability, increasing inventory efficiency, improving purchasing automation, and reducing input costs. The Sr. Instock Manager will also be responsible for improvements to inventory management processes, including identifying defects, reducing waste, and improving supply chain effectiveness. This role enables you to "hit the ground running" and make transformational impact on how we manage in-stock and cost in one of the most exciting businesses.\r

The Sr. Instock Manager will demonstrate ownership of inventory strategies and supply chain efficiencies to maximize sales, margin and turns and play a critical role helping Amazon to build, manage and optimize a complex procurement system that continues to evolve and expand. He or she will produce and analyze weekly metrics and be involved with all aspects of inventory planning and operational costs. The successful candidate must be highly organized, self-starting, highly analytical and thrive in a high energy environment - ideally with experience in supply chain and operations.\r

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
