Position Summary & Duties: The Senior I&C Engineer position is an onsite position working for Oil & Gas client in the Houston, TX area.

Senior I&C Engineer Responsibilities:
• Performs I&C engineering tasks with minimal oversight from lead engineer or supervisor.
• Develops instrumentation deliverables such as Instrument Indexes, Datasheets, Cable Schedules, Panel Layout & Wiring Drawings, Location Plans, Loop Drawings, etc
• Develops automation deliverables such as System Architecture Drawings, I/O Lists, Alarm Lists, C&Es, Control Narratives, SIL Verification, etc
• Develops electrical deliverables up to 480VAC such as Motor Schematics, Panel Schedules, Switchgear design, One-lines, Cable Schedules, etc
• Reviews all I&C and electrical documents for accuracy and quality when developed by others
• Attends studies and reviews such as HAZOP, LOPA, & Alarm Rationalization
• Develops I&C Requisitioning Documentation, Technical Bid Tabulations and Supplier
• Documents Leads FAT & SAT for control systems at manufacturer or plant site
• Performs field surveys to document existing conditions.
• Develop engineering estimates and proposals
• Works with project teams, Clients, and Suppliers to resolve I&C technical issues


Qualifications:

Senior I&C Engineer Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline
• Must possess a current P.E. license
• Minimum 10 years in the oil and gas industry working as an I&C engineer
• Working knowledge of current automation technologies for DCS, SIS, FGS, including remote I/O for at least one platform
• Working knowledge of complete wiring design from instrumentation to processor
• Working knowledge of automation networking, with both fiber and copper media
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards
• Experience working with Clients and Suppliers to resolve control system technical issues
• Experience with Cyber Security, Machine Monitoring, Functional Safety, or other specialized areas of knowledge preferred
• Candidates should be located within daily commuting distance of Houston, TX.
