Job Description

The Java Systems Developer IT is responsible for providing a high degree of technical knowledge in application systems development and design. This position will provide technical consultative advice and instruction to the team and our business partners. This position is responsible for leading the team to design, develop, test, and document complex application business solutions. This position is responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting systems and procedures. Collaborating with other team members by providing technical advice and training will be a core function of the position.

This position will be part of the Guided Health Technical team. Guided Health is one of Prime's foundational integrated and differentiating clinical products. This product is critical to optimizing Prime's total drug management capabilities. The technical team provides the ability to review pharmacy and medical claims, to identify opportunities for intervention, improve health outcomes and lower the overall cost of care. Members of the team are responsible for application support. This may include weekend or evening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Systems Developer IT team to analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
• Develop and apply theories and methods to solve complex technological problems; code or modify, test, and debug programs of difficult complexity
• Manage work direction, lead and influence, and provide feedback to others within team
• Review code & design quality
• Participate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviews
• Own application(s) within area, including proactive monitoring and communication of overall health and future sustainability
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 7-10 years of experience with application development or package software implementation that includes Java development experience
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Minimum Physical Job Requirements
