Job description

Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Springboot Developer (GCP). In this role you will assist in the technical design of large business systems; builds applications, interfaces between applications, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GAor be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Must have skills:

• Experience in Java 8/11,
• Experience in Microservices, Microservice Architecture, Spring Boot/MVC/Batch, Rest API.
• Experience on any Cloud Platform. (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Preferred Skills:

• At least 7 years of experience in Java 8/11.
• At least 6 years of experience as Java developer in Cloud Platform
• At least 4 years of experience Cloud Migration.
• At least 4 years of experience in Data Ingestion and Data Quality Products.
• At least 4 years of experience with RESTful API interfaces and Programming in AWS APIs
• At least 4 years of experience in Microservices, Microservice Architecture, Spring Boot/MVC/Batch, Rest API.
• At least 4 years of developer experience in Database: Oracle or MSSQL
• Strong hands-on experience in Setting up, maintaining, and evolving the cloud infrastructure of web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Openshift container platform
• Strong DevOPS expertise using TeamCity, Nexus, Terraform, Selenium, Jenkins, BitBucket.
• Experience in Setting up, maintaining, and evolving the cloud infrastructure of web applications.
• Experience in Analytical skills to identify root cause and come up with solutions/alternatives.
• Experience in writing Unit test cases using tools like Junit or Mokito.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
• Experience in Team management and Team Lead Activities (Code review / peer review).

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
