Your role and responsibilities
Plan, support and/or coordinate major project requirements and specifications. Determine most effective means of accomplishing objectives, develop schedules for technical deliverables, conduct and coordinate related activities. Ensure that overall efforts are in concert with customer and Company requirements.
Develop detailed engineering documentation including: Single Line Diagrams, Power System Studies (Arc Flash, Load Flow, Short Circuit, etc.), Network Diagrams, Protective Device Settings, and Substation Layouts.
Perform electrical system integration utilizing IEC 61850 and other industrial communication protocols.
Maintain close contact with customers and project participants to identify and resolve issues of mutual concern and to seek opportunities for additional business. Ensure timely contract completion, customer satisfaction and desired financial return.
Manage project risks to avoid incurring penalties, warranty repairs or other charges that may have substantial financial impact. In conjunction with related groups, develop business projections and implement strategies to achieve growth/profitability objectives and ensure responsiveness to customers.
Relay integration and programming for protection and various control schemes
Electrical design and integration of systems into EHouses and control buildings housing switchgear, automation or telecom equipment. Cable ducts, lighting panels, circuit breaker panels, FACP integration, HVAC integration and more.
In addition, the candidate is expected to spend 2030% of his/her time on initiatives focusing on elevating and improving the electrical engineering team:
• Develop action plans to build and develop needed skill sets for the electrical team.
• Consult on various projects and ensure proper project execution methods & practices are applied.
• Work with Project Management team to monitor engineering budgets, work on reducing and eliminating engineering overruns by identify overruns causes and means to resolve them.
• Lead standardization including: Standardized engineering deliverables (from bids to execution), project execution best practices, systems installation, configurations, checkouts process, lessons learned and review processes.
• Collect technical issues from different teams, support resolution and communicate to engineering team.
• Lead development of training plans and training content to onboard new engineers.
• Identify new tools and technologies, and develop training plans to different engineering levels.
• Work on developing lab environment for training, testing and demos for engineers and customers.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program and 8 years of detailed design experience.
- Professional engineering license is preferred. Direct engineering experience on projects with HV/MV/LV switchgear, motor controls, VFDs, transformers, and electrical SCADA systems is required.
- Experience programming PLCs, protective relays, and other industrial automation devices is also highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to achieve cooperation, negotiate & reach agreement with customers and suppliers.
- Requires strong technical and business skills to evaluate and solve complex technical and financial problems and to cost effectively meet tight schedules that may involve multiple projects, while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to Company objectives.
