HDR currently has an opening for a senior management consultant with experience in water resources planning, project execution, and program management. This person will work closely with HDR leadership to partner with clients to strategize on program execution and improvements to water resources infrastructure in the Central Valley. This includes navigating the planning and execution processes. This person will support delivering high quality work products and technical expertise to our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Management Consultant in Water Resources, we'll count on you to:

  • Understand the status of the water resources systems in California as well as the partners and agencies that have responsibility of the system.
  • Understand the process and policies of local, state, and federal agencies in support of water resources management.
  • Contribute to identifying necessary project resources to support clients and projects.
  • Provide professional consultation to clients on the planning and implementation of system improvements and policy
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present summary level information
  • Ability to obtain, cleanse, merge and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Self-starter with proven track record of accomplishments
  • Efficient use of the internet and other electronic and hard copy media for research
  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Visio skills
  • Microsoft Access and Excel skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with program management at local, state, or federal agency
  • Project management skills a plus
