Position: Senior Manager, Data Science

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Monitor and execute projects from start to finish, including cross-functional project management, data collection and manipulation, analysis and modeling, and the communication of insights and recommendations. Build scalable and complex supply chain models and processes to optimize supply chain strategies with the goal of delivering an excellent customer experience while balancing operating cost and asset efficiency. Develop strong relationships with Walmart functional areas to identify best practices, solicit input/data, coordinate interdisciplinary initiatives, and gather support for recommendations. Identify areas of opportunity and influence execution of results via cross-functional participation to enable quick wins and continuous improvement. Obtain alignment from relevant business partners and management support for projects and lead discussions to drive change. Effectively organize, assemble, and use all available resources when given a project to ensure success. Develop optimization logic and tools to determine truckload lane strategy for transportation, balancing cost, and SLA requirements. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of experience in an analytics related field.

Skills required: Experience developing complex queries to find, join, analyze, extract, and manipulate large datasets using SAP, Excel, GCP, Access, MS SQL Server, and Teradata. Experience creating cost/financial analysis on business problems pertaining to business operations, sales performance, supply chain decisions, network design, transportation/logistics, sourcing, planning, and manufacturing problems using Excel. Experience building and running models to solve complex, multi-variate problems with a large number of variables and constraints using Excel, VBA, or SAP optimizer. Experience creating packaged tools to aid in modeling or business decision-making using Excel, Access, VBA Macros, Python, or R to improve cost, service, and efficiency. Experience developing polished, professional presentation materials for executive and C-suite audiences for large forums and decision-making using PowerPoint and Tableau. Experience managing and executing projects with cross-functional collaboration and creating plans, dashboards, scorecards, and other supplementary project management materials using Smartsheets, Excel, Project, or Azure DevOps. Experience managing teams of supply chain and operations individuals developing technical work, analysis, or supporting day-to-day operations. Experience developing and implementing operational models for business or supply chain optimization using Excel, VBA, Access, or R. Experience improving operations using Continuous Improvement principles Six Sigma and Lean concepts. Experience analyzing complex data sets to develop business insights and solve business problems by contributing to superior business performance using Excel, Access, MS SQL, R, or Python. Experience operating comprehensive supply and capacity planning models for long-term strategic planning, utilizing Excel, VBA, MS SQL, or SAP APO. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $191,699/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
