Job Description

A significant piece of this roadmap is a GHG Decarbonization Plan setting a baseline and driving aggressive goals for the future. NMG is seeking a passionate Senior Manager to lead this program including implementation and providing leadership oversight.

Your Role
The Senior Manager of Facilities and Environmental (ESG) is a facilities executive role responsible for establishing the strategic and tactical direction of NMG's decarbonization plan. This position will direct and develop the leaders within the facilities team, lead our 3rd party relationships on emissions, help establish our long-term goals and maintain the overall program of decarbonization.

What You'll Do
  • Set the strategic plan for decarbonization that supports overall ESG goals and objectives.
  • Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout facility operations.
  • Work with leaders across the company on strategic initiatives for facilities and the broader organization as well as ability to influence across the organization and business partners to drive results.
  • Develop and direct leaders to ensure timely and accurate energy use programs.
  • Project support including (but not limited to) IT, capital, construction, and store planning.
  • Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and facility optimization.
  • Develop leaders in their organization to drive strong metric performance, culture and engagement of teams and system knowledge.
  • Audit facilities by using TracerES to ensure they are running optimally. Offer support and training of our energy management system TracerES.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively through the change management process and communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Communicate with partners across the organization to include Store Operations, Finance, IT, Group Operations, Construction and Planning & Design.
  • Ability to gather and examine the right data and analytics to determine business effectiveness. Tracking, calculating, and reporting data.
  • Prepare, manage, and meet financial budget expectations.
  • Requires attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work independently; proficiency with PC applications (Outlook 365, etc.) excellent communication skills.
  • Support all safety programs, OSHA compliance and regulatory compliance initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant work environment, as well as serve as the community liaison.
  • Position requires 20-30% travel

  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity.
  • A high financial and business acumen augmented by experience in strategic updates to senior leadership (VP and above).
Preferred Requirements
  • Proficient at forecasting models, budget planning, and full P&L ownership.
  • Experience with Lean Principles, Labor Management, and Manhattan WMS.
  • Experience working with emissions or GHG decarbonization.
  • Leadership experience.
