Reporting organizationally to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Procurement Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Finance team. The Senior Procurement Manager will work in close collaboration with the FIFA Zurich team and other key individuals' responsible for efforts to deliver the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues.


THE POSITION


The main responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Manager FIFA26 include:
  • Support project leaders in all matters regarding procurement including tasks such as RFI/RFP process, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts to ensure best terms and conditions.
  • Responsible for the roll out of the company procurement policies and procedures, including training and adherence checks.
  • Coordinate with the different functions to define the procurement pipeline to anticipate cost optimization opportunities and avoid spend overlap.
  • Analyse the market to recommend sourcing strategies and mitigate risks.
  • Develop internal tools necessary for project leaders in the procurement process to ensure financial and compliance control, while helping streamline and automate process where possible.
  • Monitor administrative tasks conducted by the Procurement Specialist.
  • Create spend reports for management.
  • Work collaboratively with other FIFA procurement teams.


YOUR PROFILE

  • Experience in tendering processes, major procurement projects and contract management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and global business acumen.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to handle complexity and conflicting interests.
  • Capable of working in an environment of rapid change and high scrutiny.
  • Ability to add value in business unit meetings and influence top management.
  • Understands the application of governance and compliance.
  • A track record in transforming business needs into procurement strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively interact, convince and influence multiple stakeholders at various levels (incl. C-level)
  • Tertiary education in procurement, business administration and/or extensive experience in indirect procurement; further education an advantage.
