About the Role

The Senior Market Analyst is responsible for managing a variety of market products for the petrochemicals and plastics industry in the North American region. Candidate will report to Director of Aromatics & Intermediate Chemicals Americas.

You will be responsible for:
  • Conducting market discussions with clients to establish a view of market conditions in conjunction with available data.
  • Translating market conditions into a concise view that informs clients and provides pricing clarity.
  • Managing, collecting, and populating data in models on an ongoing basis and integrating any change implications into ongoing forecasts.
  • Generating written text to accompany market analysis and providing understanding of the conditions impacting procurement decisions for clients. Providing fair, unbiased views for clients seeking a knowledge-based, analytical approach to the market.
  • Producing content in weekly and/or monthly publications, including models, forecasts, charts and written content delivered through a content management system.
  • Generating global supply/demand balances and future forecasts in coordination with regional team member experts in the space.

Qualifications:
  • Have Bachelor's in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
  • Have experience in the petrochemicals and/or plastics industry.
  • Have excellent verbal communication skills with clients.
  • Have outstanding writing skills.
  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as a minimum.
  • Have additional automation and data programming skills such as use of Python, Tableau.
  • Have ability to travel up to 25%. Occasional travel for client visits, market discussions and conference appearances may be required from time to time.
