Project Description :
Seeking Senior Network Engineer with Information technology services skills to assist ongoing technology personnel with projects. Contractor must have strong background in data center routing and switching skills. Performance Location: Washington, DC site(s)s with a combination of remote and a minimum of 1 day per week on-site support (unless otherwise directed). Period of Performance: June 3, 2024, to December 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension.

Qualification Requirements :
The candidate shall also demonstrate the below knowledge and experience: - Minimum of 10 years' experience in supporting enterprise-grade routers and switches in a large data center environment - Demonstrating expertise in supporting and configuring the following technologies: BGP, OSPF, STP in NXOS and IOSXE platforms - U.S. citizenship is a requirement.

Skills Requirements :
- Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting large data center networks - Experience with Cisco Nexus switches (9K, 7K, etc.) and Cisco Catalyst switches and routers - XVLAN, Wireless and AWS networking is a plus

Responsibilities :
The Contractor shall deliver, but not limited to, the following: - Assist the networking team with daily operations and ongoing projects, including troubleshooting routing and switching issues, developing new designs, managing maintenance windows, and handling any other tasks as required. - Extensive expertise in BGP and OSPF, traffic engineering, route optimization, and failover scenarios. Note: This position can end early or be extended based on need.
