Description:

• Outstanding experience in designing and configuring of Layer 2 networking features such as VPC, VLAN, STP, VTP, LACP, PAgP, SPAN, HSRP, VRRP, VRF, MPLS, Qos
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, Cloud.
• Experience with network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless, cloud.
• Understanding and application of common network protocols
• Experience with firewall policy configurations, VPNs, remote access and other security protocols.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Boston MA is $120k/yr to $125k/yr, and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.

Requirements:

• Experience with configuring and managing wireless access points and controllers.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environment concepts. Experience with cloud services such as Compute, Firewall, Security Groups, VPC, and Transit Gateway
• Basic understanding of scripting for networking. Experience with Bash, Python or similar. Ability to write code for basic functions like reading from/writing to a file and interacting with an API endpoint to complete tasks. Basic understanding of Git/Github processes.

Preferences:

• Network security practices including vulnerability assessments, mitigation and remediation.
• Network Monitoring, Logging and Troubleshooting:
• Network monitoring/alerting tooling such as DataDog or equivalent. Logging tools such as Splunk or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in identifying and resolving network issues promptly. Ability to comprehend output data from monitoring tools to identify sources of trouble
• Understanding of wireless networking standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Expertise in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Switches (6500), Arista switches
• Expertise in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Routers (ASR1000 Series), Arista switches
• Expertise in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco DataCenter Switches, Nexus (9K Nexus and CatoS)
• Expertise in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA (55xx)
• Highly experienced in TCP/IP protocol suite and OSI Models
• Extensive experience with network Layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, VRF, etc)
