Volt is immediately hiring a Senior Overhead Crane Technician in Livermore, CA.

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

As a Senior Overhead Crane Operator, you will:

- Possess knowledge of sections 4884, et. seq. of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, as well as ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standards, relating to the design and operation of cranes and derricks, including those specifically applicable to the types of cranes for which a license will be issued.

• Complete the schedule of monthly inspections and preventative maintenance, ensuring the schedule is completed or alternative arrangements are made.

• Perform inspection of equipment in accordance with established guidelines.

• Provide all required information and data for quotation including, Master data and COMPONENTE level information, hours and number of Field Operatives required for repair when FAULTS are identified, complete list of tools and equipment required and other pertinent notes to assist with the quotation process.

• Read, understand and apply the contents of all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI and other codes or regulations pertaining to our industry. Refresh and update knowledge periodically.

• Complete inspection reports and other required and appropriate documents in a professional, accurate, neat and legible manner and submit same in a timely manner and in accordance with established guidelines.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in industrial electrical/mechanical technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience is preferred.

Experience:

In addition, all applicants must demonstrate at least five years' related experience with cranes or derricks. These five years of experience must include not less than two years of crane related field duties such as crane inspection as a crane operator, heavy equipment mechanic, shop foreman, operations supervision, rigging specialist, or mechanical or civil engineer. Related education may be substituted for experience at a ratio of two years of education for one year of experience up to three years.

Pay from $42.00-$46.00 per hour DOE
