Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a world class candidate for an exciting new role at AWS as a Senior Partner Sales Manager (PSM). This role will support the overall success of Media & Entertainment, Games and Sports (MEGS) customers worldwide through co-sell and joint Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy execution with AWS Consulting and Technology Partners.

As part of the AWS Worldwide MEGS Partner Sales team, you will be driving growth of partner-related AWS revenue. You will become a trusted point of contact for ISVs and Consulting Partners by demonstrating a deep understanding of AWS internal processes and programs that support partners as they build a successful and sustainable business with MEGS through co-sell and delivery of end-customer solutions based on AWS services.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in working with cross-organizational groups, thinking strategically about business and technical challenges, and by building and delivering customer value tied to Partner solutions and capabilities.

Key job responsibilities

Your broad responsibilities will include defining and executing strategies to achieve Partner and Sales organization goals, establishing business and technical relationships with Partners, Sales teams, and Customers, and managing the day-to-day interactions between these organizations in order to create opportunities that ultimately deliver value to AWS Customers.

You will be expected to:

• \tManage Partner engagement in AWS accounts with a focus on business outcomes to expand existing AWS footprint as well as originate new Customer engagements with Partners to grow AWS revenue

• \tHave a broad, holistic view of the AWS Partner community in local and regional markets and a deep understanding of partner capabilities and solutions that will delight AWS customers

• \tBecome a trusted member of the Sales team to develop and execute on joint Partner/Sales strategy, own opportunity execution with Partners, leverage Partner programs, and coach Partners on strategy and best practices

• \tWork with cross functional teams, including Partner Solution Architects (PSAs) and Partner Development Managers (PDMs), on effective engagement with their managed Partners in local markets to drive solutions that deliver outcomes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of experience in sales or business development in the software/technology industry

7+ years of experience engaging and influencing C-level/senior executives and strong familiarity with decision making processes in enterprise customers

5+ years of experience working with partners through account management, product management, program management and business development engagements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• \tConsistently exceeds quota and key performance metrics

• \tPrior experience working with ISVs, Systems Integrators, and/or Consulting companies to achieve sales

• \tPrior direct sales experience within Media & Entertainment, Games, or Sports is preferred

• \tExperience working within the enterprise software development industry is highly desired

• \tExperience working in the territory with partners and customers

• \tSales and/or technical DNA with a desire to coordinate field teams to develop and close high-profile deals

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
