About the role

This position will be based in San Jose, CA.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $85,000 - $163,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for the Brazil, Canada, and Mexico payrolls and Month end processing.
• Manage relationships with external Payroll vendors, HRIS, and other benefit providers.
• Ensure an accurate and timely Monthly and Semi-weekly payroll, including but not limited to: base pay, equity compensation, payroll taxes, statutory and supplemental benefits, etc.
• Own month-end close, quarter-end and year-end processes for Americas entities including reviewing/approving journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals
• Own all payroll inquiries and inboxes dedicated to the Americas region (Brazil, Canada, Mexico)
• Cross-functional collaboration with business partners for process improvements and efficiencies
• Assist with driving global payroll strategy with global payroll team members to streamline processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best-in-class services
• Ensure all regulatory payroll filings are completed timely and accurately
• Assist with payroll development and implementation process for new countries or entities
• Partner closely with internal business partners (Employee Experience / People Ops / Finance) to provide our employees with a first-class payroll experience
• Proactively prepare relevant management reports, metrics and statistics as needed
• Stay current on regulations, benefits changes, and labor laws impacting the payroll process, and stay compliant for all payroll tax jurisdictions
• Assist the US payroll when required
• Assist in ad-hoc duties when required

We're excited if you have

• Minimum 5-7 Years of payroll experience primarily in Workday and minimum 3 years as test support.
• Minimum 2-3 Years of payroll experience with ADP WorkForce Now.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related field or a comparable combination of formal education and work experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
• Workday functional integration testing experience with external interfaces (ADP, benefit providers, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of current payroll tax laws and regulations, including multi-states, local, and federal tax law required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities; effective verbal and written communication skills.
