The Office of Human Resources' Performance Management Team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Performance Management Consultant to oversee cross-functional projects that have department-wide impact, provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to a team of superior consultants and departmental leaders on the most complex issues related to work performance, attendance, employee conduct, adverse actions, rejections during probation, and Absence Without Leave; as well as advise, review, and provide feedback on performance memoranda, evaluations, correspondence and investigations; and ensure all performance related plans of actions are in conformance with DOJ policies and procedures, labor contracts, the State of California's progressive discipline process, and control agency policies. The Senior Performance Management Consultant will also be responsible for developing and reviewing policies and procedures and developing and providing training relating to performance management.

Working Conditions

This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote-centered position. The position may however require in-person attendance when requested. The selected candidate would report to Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento if/when required to attend mandated in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office for required events are the responsibility of the employee. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
