Summary of Position

The Senior Planning Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring all inbound raw material meets requirements of what was ordered, quality-controlled material moves through disposition process efficiently, and all outbound finished goods shipments meet customer commitments. They are responsible for maintaining information in a logistic database and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Work Schedule: Monday Friday 7:30am 4:00pm. Ability to work overtime when necessary. It is possible this position will become a second shift position if production timing requires.

Essential Functions

  • Manage outbound finished goods shipments to comply with all regulatory agencies, i.e., DOT, IATA, FDA, NRC.
  • Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
  • Perform administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials per cGMP regulations and Curium processes.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for shipments and deliveries.
  • Schedule outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to ensure materials are received, processed, and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Maintain storage of materials to ensure safety and compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain material storage areas to provide efficient material flow and maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform cycle counts of inventory, provide order fulfillment, and maintain lot control and FIFO practices.
  • Prepare materials for Quality disposition per Curium specifications. Obtain and review CoAs, CoCs, provide visual inspection, and document as required.
  • Assist in developing department standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed to accommodate off-hour deliveries and/or shipments.
  • Supplemental duties may include: driving and operating a fork truck, operating a pallet jack, and knowledge of area-related OSHA and DOT regulations.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate degree or Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics or related field is preferred.
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience required in the field of logistics or distribution with exposure to all functional areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed.


Working Conditions:
  • Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels.
  • Responsibilities include the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, kneeling, crouching, twisting the upper body, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, must be able to physically negotiate stairs and evacuation ladders with or without accommodation, wear and operate safety equipment, enter vessels, and inspect equipment.
  • Material handling devices (e.g., hand truck, fork truck, and conveyors) are used when possible, however, use of proper lifting and movement techniques is necessary to prevent injury.
  • Must be willing to wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hearing protection as needed.
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties.
  • Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to mechanical/moving parts, hazards including corrosive, flammable and toxic material, dust, dirt, odors, and irritants.
  • Willingness to complete safety training within allotted timeframes, and work in a team-based environment.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require.
