Are you an ambitious and proven Research & Development professional looking for a unique opportunity to make a significant impact? Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist, Innovation R&D, to join our extraordinary team in Raritan, NJ, United States.
Responsibilities:
- A Technical Leadership role passionate about advancing our innovation agenda, collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine and implement new solutions.
- Lead identification and early development to advance technology addressing surgical healing complications such as surgical site infections.
- Explore key areas of new agents, coatings, and biomaterials aimed at our strategic focus of healing patients
- Design and conduct experiments, ensuring seamless implementation and precise data collection.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
- Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals and present at industry conferences.
- Mentor and guide junior scientists to foster a collaborative and inclusive innovation environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field and provide thought leadership to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in a related scientific field is preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in conducting research and development in a highly regulated industry
- Proven track record of successfully leading and collaborating on innovation projects.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of surgical site infection is preferred.
- Strong understanding antibacterial technologies is preferred
- Understanding of wound therapeutic and related technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team setting and establish strong connections with individuals both inside and outside the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
