LaSalle Network has partnered with our client, a global leader in providing sustainable solutions for waste management and recycling challenges, to bring on a Senior Procurement Buyer. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in direct procurement, with a focus on purchase order management, supplier relations, and inventory optimization.

Senior Procurement Buyer Responsibilities:

• Lead the generation and management of purchase orders, adhering to organizational policies and procedures
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to finalize order specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines
• Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies within the procurement space
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential new suppliers and evaluate their competitiveness
• Drive cost-saving initiatives while upholding quality standards across procurement processes
• Continuously assess existing contracts and agreements for opportunities to reduce costs
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure contract compliance and mitigate risks
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments such as operations, finance, and project management to align procurement activities with overarching business objectives
• Develop and implement supplier performance metrics for ongoing assessment and monitoring
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and take corrective actions as necessary
• Identify and proactively mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors

Senior Procurement Buyer Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience in procurement roles, with a focus on indirect procurement
• Proficiency in utilizing Coupa or similar procurement software is highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
