The Amazon Global Logistics, Inbound Planning and Execution Team is responsible for performance and continuous improvement in new inventory arrivals into Amazon's inbound supply chain, with direct ownership of Inbound Scheduling, Carrier Management, and Inbound Network Health & Performance. This role will lead the centralization and development of a foundational data store and user interface (UI) that supports cross-organizational performance deep dives and guides the optimization of business decisions.

Key job responsibilities

- End-to-end ownership of requirements gathering, documentation, planning, and implementation of a centralized performance back-end data and front-end UI.

- Define the product's mission, vision, and tenets, set objectives, analyze data, and drive quantifiable improvements through metrics.

- Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally across multiple teams in operations, technology, and planning to align logic and define strategic roadmaps while considering the impact on all stakeholders.

- Design and implement feedback mechanisms to drive performance, cost, and process improvement.

- Ability to conduct root-cause analysis using data and create metrics-driven, actionable, and sustainable solutions for the future.

- Create and implement data-driven decision recommendations and improvements to Amazon's Inbound Supply Chain that drive efficiency, operations productivity, and cost reduction.

- Monitor key performance indicators across business segments and analyze their drivers to determine the level and type of engagement required based on the risk to and utilization of technology.

A day in the life

Each day with the Inbound Orchestration team is Day 1! The Senior Product Manager will delve into Amazon's inbound network and systems, identifying opportunities to improve performance and alignment across systems impacting metrics such as inbound speed (Mean Days Processing Delay), variable cost per unit (VCPU), capacity and resource utilization, inventory placement, First Pass Yield, and more. They will determine where bottlenecks exist and identify new and creative solutions to avoid or mitigate defects within the Inbound Supply Chain. They will integrate these solutions with operations and tech teams cross-functionally to improve overall inbound performance and reduce costs.

About the team

The Amazon Global Logistics, Inbound Planning and Execution Team is responsible for the performance and continuous improvement of new inventory arrivals into Amazon's inbound supply chain. The team has direct ownership of Inbound Scheduling, Carrier Management, and Inbound Network Health & Performance. The team is focused on delivering a common understanding of supply chain defects that result in sub-optimal outcomes for each segment and system in the Inbound Supply Chain.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with end to end product delivery

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience as a product manager or owner

- Experience owning technology products

- 4+ years of experience in supply chain planning and capacity management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
