Position Summary:

Come join our team of talented developers/analysts as a Senior Programmer Analyst or Programmer Analyst whose primary focus is new development and software maintenance in a complex relational database system. This position is responsible for programming and related activities, including development, maintenance, testing, implementation, and product support, for the Ellucian Banner ERP system and ancillary systems and software.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum requirements for the Programmer Analyst:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in the following (or equivalent educational experience):
-analysis/coding in an enterprise IT environment.
-software development of business applications.
-programming in a complex relational database.
- use of SQL and PL/SQL.
Competency in technical and business analysis, software development, and troubleshooting skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Due to the nature of this position, applicant must be either a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident.

A Senior Programmer Analyst must meet all Programmer Analyst minimum qualifications in addition to the qualifications listed below.
Four years of experience in the following (or equivalent educational experience):
-analysis/coding in an enterprise IT environment.
-software development of business applications.
-programming in a complex relational database.
-use of SQL and PL/SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Experience programming with the Ellucian Banner ERP system, including providing direct functional user support.
Experience programming using Oracle database technology.
Bachelor's degree; preferred field of study: MIS, Computer Science, Business, or Math.
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and version control such as UNIX, Java and Jira.
Experience writing user documentation.
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities.
