This is an opportunity to support executive strategic decision-making at Alexa by defining & leading the programs that will scale & optimize best-in-class data science & analytics products. These products drive investment decisions, goal setting, risk tracking, and across all Alexa Devices & Services. This role within the Alexa Business Telemetry & Decision Science (B-Tel) team partners with nearly every team in the Alexa, Devices & Services organization to enable product, marketing, and finance to unlock machine-learning driven forecasting & analytics that meet their unique intelligence needs.

Key job responsibilities

-\tOperationalize customer onboarding programs to ensure successful & timely delivery of forecasting results & analytics services

-\tDevelop & lead mechanisms for effective cross-functional service delivery between product, science, & engineering teams by implementing prioritization & planning frameworks

-\tDrive coordination between B-Tel, Alexa finance, & Device finance teams during Amazon's bi-annual financial planning cycles

-\tCommunicate monthly forecast results with Alexa leadership by reviewing data, reports, and analyses in order to write executive-level summaries

-\tImplement processes for measuring analytics product performance

-\tOwn & improve mechanisms for stakeholder communication & customer-facing product documentation

A day in the life

-\tInterface with internal business & finance customers to gather requirements, evaluate priority, scope needed resources, & relay critical information

-\tAnalyze model results and metadata to surface insights that will drive prioritization, resourcing, and goal setting across the Alexa business

-\tWrite program documentation for non-technical audiences, detailing team processes, mechanisms, and timelines

-\tDesign & implement mechanisms to coordinate exchange of information & program status between science, engineering, and product teams to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration on product & service delivery

- Develop training materials for internal customers & partners on the B-Tel Science Product Suite

About the team

High quality decision-making requires world-class telemetry. We build business telemetry and measurement products for Alexa decision-makers at every level and across every service. Our customers include SVP/VP level decision makers evaluating investment decisions that inform resource allocations (e.g. OP1/OP2 mechanisms), product managers evaluating what features to build, owners of services and production models selecting the right content to present at the right time on the right endpoint, Finance leadership, and everyone in between. Our scope covers the full customer lifecycle, including customer acquisition, awareness, subscription growth and engagement, and extends to key financial outputs and business objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

- Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules

- Experience defining and executing program requirements

- Experience working in a matrixed organization

- Experience using SQL, ETL, and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
