Key job responsibilities

• \tDeep dive current process to identify gaps and use program management best practices to set a roadmap, execute and iterate to continuously improve

• \tLead ambiguous and undefined problems to resolution in constantly changing, multi team-based environment, work backwards from customer needs to deliver high quality outputs

• \tCommunicate effectively across multiple levels of organization, building trust, generate buy-in for the program vision both internally and with key external partners

• \tDefine creative, high quality, simple program roadmaps based on program strategy and vision

• \tWork closely and collaboratively with design, program and product teams from partner organizations

• \tDelivering results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while driving teams to complete goals

A day in the life

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager, to build mechanisms that help the team to detect and eliminate fake reviews, and stand up mechanisms around abusive brand building. This person will partner with cross functional teams in engineering, data science, legal and other groups to develop automated and manual detection systems and improve our process. You must have a desire to drive change, interpret data for action and constantly be aware that your actions can help improve the shopping experience for tens of millions of Amazon customers worldwide.

About the team

The Sales Abuse Prevention team builds and operates systems that safeguard trust in the Amazon content. We protect shoppers from untrustworthy content and contributors through machine-learned content filters, forensic relationship-detection systems, abusive behavior pattern detection, and investigator tools. We partner with product-development, quality and customer-service teams across the company to make content moderation efficient and effective, deep dive in abuse investigations and respond to customer contacts. Our charter also extends to tools and processes that enable content owners to enforce, manage, and update their policies in cases where sharing resources is necessary.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
