The Senior Program Manager, Strategic Operations will be an expert in operationalizing and designing high-impact, end-to-end transformation initiatives that drive business and workforce outcomes. The successful candidate will have expertise across the workforce value chain, including a keen understanding of the intersection of business and people strategies, key drivers of workforce success, a deep background in program design and large-scale delivery, scalable operating models, and organizational change. They should have proven success in delivering world-class solution that set-the-bar for others.

This role will use data to build, execute, and scale our high-velocity transformation best-practices, including tools, frameworks, and mental models. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze data, think strategically, invent and simplify, and deliver measurable results tied to operationalizing transformations across the enterprise, and growing organizational capability around high-velocity transformations. This candidate will operate alongside and integrate with various transformation, people experience (human resources) and business teams.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Program Manager, Strategic Operations you will:

• \tPartner with and influence cross-functional teams to develop transformation strategies and solutions.

• \tLead effective communication plans to engage partners and stakeholders.

• \tDiagnose organizational needs and develop, deliver, and scale critical capabilities to support evolving business strategies.

• \tExperiment with new designs and tactics to improve efficiency and effectiveness across high-value teams.

• \tDesign processes and infrastructure to help customers align capabilities, diagnose constraints, and create action plans.

• \tProvide training, coaching, and leadership development to drive engagement, problem-solving, and growth across the workforce.

• \tEffectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate high-bar decisions, set and maintain alignment against priorities, and deliver bar-setting results through ambiguity.

• \tEmpower, motivate, and develop teams to achieve organizational goals.

• \tWork with Analytics to measure transformation effectiveness and create data-driven reports.

• \tShare insights and patterns with customers to build trust and drive enterprise-wide transformation.

• \tContinuously improve solution success and stakeholder satisfaction.

• \tAdvocate for the business by anticipating transformation opportunities.

• \tEnsure changes align to intended outcomes.

• \tConduct organizational assessments to inform future-state design.

• \tWork directly with customers to define transformation goals, risks, and opportunities.

• \tDesign and deliver scalable solutions, services, and tools to meet high-growth needs.

• \tContribute to best-in-class transformation playbooks and assets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• \tBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience

• \tMinimum 8+ years of relevant experience in an internal or external consulting role with senior leaders and Human Resource colleagues to diagnose needs and develop/implement organizational development solutions

• \tStrong understanding of organizational development, including Strategic Workforce Planning, Team Effectiveness, Experience Design, Culture and broad talent management disciplines

• \tExceptional business acumen and high judgment; able to use business, human capital, and technology depth and breadth to understand customer needs and shape transformation initiatives

• \tHigh discretion and executive presence

• \tStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• \tData driven decision making and sound business judgment

• \tWillingness to dive deep into processes and 'roll-up sleeves' to drive results

• \tExcellent ability to communicate clearly and effectively and with confidential information

• \tAbility to collaborate and deliver-results in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired

• \tEffective at driving short-term results that are consistent with long-term goals

• \tAbility to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with attention to detail and organizational skills

• \tExperience with the Microsoft Office suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• \tExperience in Workforce Transformation, Change Management, or Organization Development

• \tProven success in demographic analyses and audience segmentation

• \tExperience with systems design and automation

• \tExperience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting

• \tExperience operationalizing and scaling cross-functional transformations from concept to completion

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
