Our client is seeking a Senior Project Controls or Schedule Specialist to work with our EPC client in a large project located in Orange, TX, for a 2 year assignment.

The professional will be responsible for providing project management with schedule, progress, and engineering & procurement backlog status information. Additionally, will be responsible to develop various schedule related information for construction managers, segment managers and superintendents to help them clearly understand the schedule, target, and updated status to drive the construction. Information produced under the direction of the Project Controls Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Report to Project Controls Manager and Project Directors
  • Manage project progress reporting
  • Develop and review the project schedule in P6
  • Manage construction schedule, progress and productivity
  • Oversee the engineering and procurement deliverable status to visualize the construction backlog and take and/or propose required countermeasure
  • Summarize and develop the presentation/selective schedule of the key construction schedule, status and target including the critical path for the management, client and staffs.
  • Analyze the construction status and find out the bottle neck issue and suggest the countermeasures to management
  • Communicate with Construction Managers, Segment Managers and Engineering/Procurement Managers to develop the schedule, progress, productivities and status etc.
  • Oversee and assist in all month-end project reporting requirements
  • Participate in risk and opportunity analysis for the project. Contribute to the project risk and opportunity identification and measurement process. Manage development of special risk analysis studies for the project.
  • Develop presentations for internal and external project controls related meetings and participate and facilitate these meetings.
Required Skills:
  • Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Primavera P6
  • Navis Works Simulate to visualize construction schedule and status using 3D models.
  • Excel VBA to develop the visualized construction schedule and status.
  • Power BI to develop the live status.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EPC project, earned value, CPM scheduling, typical drawings and detail construction planning

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction Science
