Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented Project Controls Specialist to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will provide essential planning and project controls support, guiding the project team through all phases of execution. Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager, you will be an integral part of our leadership team, ensuring the successful completion of our projects.
Essential Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling:
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to create and maintain project schedules.
  • Identify critical path activities, milestones, and dependencies for accurate project sequencing.


Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
  • Assist in preparing project budgets by analyzing cost estimates, resource requirements, and procurement plans.
  • Contribute to cost estimates for proposal development, considering project requirements and constraints.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting budget deviations.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and propose strategies for cost optimization.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Establish project performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project progress.
  • Collect and analyze project data, including scope changes, resource utilization, and schedule variances.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate project performance to stakeholders.

Risk Analysis and Management:
  • Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to determine the probability and impact of risks.
  • Monitor and track identified risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing appropriate contingency plans as needed.

Change Control:
  • Oversee a change control process to manage project scope changes, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
  • Evaluate the impact of change requests on project schedules, costs, and resources.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop strategies for managing changes while minimizing disruptions.

Stakeholder Communication:
  • Collaborate with project managers, field supervision, and other stakeholders to provide project controls support and guidance.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, both verbally and in written reports.
  • Facilitate project review meetings and participate in discussions to address project control-related concerns.


Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Project Controls Analyst in the construction industry or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in Project Controls, with field experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software/tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction project lifecycle, scheduling techniques, cost control, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP) are a plus.
