Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Utility Coordination for our large Transportation client. In this role, you will be responsible for managing utility coordination for the Route 36 Improvements Project and future corridor improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Project Manager to define project scope, objectives, and feasibility.

Prepare budgets, schedules, program plans, and force account plans for proposed projects.

Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs), consultant contracts, and coordinate design concepts and reviews with Operations departments.

Represent the Authority in interactions with special interest groups, local communities, and public meetings.

Assist the Project Manager during procurement and construction stages, including project management, construction management, and coordination with governmental agencies and the Authority's Operating departments.

Provide support to Project Engineers/Architects in project management tasks.

Oversee project execution, allocate resources, and maintain budget and schedules.

Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of a small team of engineers and construction inspectors, estimating manpower needs and assigning work to meet schedules.

Consult with supervisors on unusual problems, developments, contractual matters, and policy issues.

Train Project Engineers/Architects in project management duties and Senior Construction Inspectors and Senior Field Engineers in project supervision.

Independently make decisions related to engineering challenges and construction methods.

Adhere to all safety and security policies, reporting any concerns affecting operations or personnel.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in civil or mechanical engineering

7 years engineering experience

understanding of construction project management techniques

working PC knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, and project management software

valid driver's license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master's Degree or PE registration
