Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a hybrid opportunity to be based in New Orleans, LA .
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Manages one or more complex projects, involving a combination of the following
- Projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM
- Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects
- Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations
- Managing design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities
- Good presentation and communication skills in English
- Good report and proposal writing skills
- Client Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships
- Ability to identify, understand and focus on clients' key requirements
- Commercial: Commercially aware, clear understanding of factors that affect risk and profitability
- Excellent Team leadership
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- PE Registration Louisiana or ability to obtain immediately upon acceptance of position
- A Motor Vehicle Check will be required for this position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Structural, Civil Engineering or Maritime Engineering + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience on Port or DOD projects
- Experience on Site Development projects
- Previous experience in leading projects to required quality, timeliness, and budget parameters
- Previous experience in maintaining client relationships
- Established residency in area
- Master's degree
- Experienced in planning, design, and CM
