Overview:
Global Device Company is seeking a Senior R&D Plastics Engineer to join their team! In this role, you will be an individual contributor, acting as the Plastics SME for the Research and Development department.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as applied materials science expert within R&D.
• Develop specifications, protocols, and execute studies with detailed analysis, documentation, and communication.
• Design tests for materials applications (biocompatibility, processability, mechanical effectiveness) to meet FDA, ISO, and industry standards.
• Interface with external organizations, experts, and emerging technologies.
• Utilize databases, reports, and lab capabilities to research and resolve materials-related issues.
• Provide training and guidance within the materials science team.
• Prepare and present technical investigation reports to peers and management.
• Demonstrate experience in compounding plastics, colorants, and additives.
• Lead non-clinical and clinical studies, managing internal/external experts and resources.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
• 4-6 years of related experience.
• Industry/professional certification preferred.
• Regular attendance, occasional travel, and ability to work non-standard hours required.
• Secrecy, invention, and non-compete agreements required.
