Senior Revenue Accountant

Our client, a leader in healthcare supplies and solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Revenue Accountant to oversee revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with ASC 606 guidelines. This role is pivotal in managing revenue accounting for significant volumes of customer contracts across various channels, totaling over $20 billion in net sales.

Senior Revenue Accountant Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough review and analysis of customer contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606
• Assess contract terms for proper revenue recognition and GL account allocation accuracy
• Lead initiatives to enhance contract revenue accounting processes
• Implement internal controls and leverage system capabilities for accurate revenue recognition
• Collaborate closely with sales and contracting teams to review customer contracts
• Provide guidance on revenue recognition implications and recommend contract terms and language adjustments
• Analyze and account for revenue impacts of new contract arrangements
• Ensure accurate recording of contract elements and compliance with all contractual clauses
• Proactively identify and address errors to prevent revenue loss
• Monitor Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) fees and ensure accurate revenue recording
• Assist in audits by providing comprehensive scope and review of agreements and contracts
• Manage rebates impacting revenue and ensure adherence to audit requirements
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard revenue recognition processes
• Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Senior Revenue Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, ideally within the healthcare industry
• In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

• Proactive and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
