Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP S4HANA FICO Consultant who will be catering to the North America customers and involves supporting proactive and reactive business opportunities such as managed services and transformation. The individual will be closely working with our onsite sales / delivery teams, and participate in solution discussions, and workshops.

Role Summary:
  • Functional leadership for the SAP Functional FICO
  • Support Group Reporting end users by researching, architecting, implementing, and testing solutions in response to enhancement requests submitted by end users.
  • Research complex application issues and examine integration between various systems (SAP and non-SAP) for inconsistencies.
  • Work closely with business teams to clearly understand requirements and implement solution improvements and enhancements.
  • Ensure the adherence of standards and SAP best practices.
  • Responsible for following operating procedures and responding to production support tickets for the FICO and GR modules within predefined service level agreements
  • Responsible for resolving and or escalating complex SAP related support requests to appropriate resources for resolution
  • Understand support problems in applicable functional area and analyze options to determine appropriate solutions
  • Gather requirement, Identify Gaps, Design solutions, Manage on-site & offshore teams, Manage project deliverables, Project Management Activities, Liaise with client and Create opportunities to ramp up the team

Must have prior work experience in the following:
  • AR, AP, GL, AA, and COPA areas
  • Demonstrable experience in New GL and Document split functionality
  • Automatic Payments with DMEE, XML and iDocs
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Tax on sales and purchases
  • Exposure 3rd party taxation tools like Sabrix, Taxware or Vertex
  • Withholding Tax
  • Sound knowledge in Intercompany processes through Edi-IDocs
  • Exposure to Interfaces and development thereof
  • Knowledge in Bank communication
  • Lock box and Electronic Bank statement with search strings
  • Integration with SD, MM and PS modules
  • Working with IDocs
  • Local GAAP Reporting using special purpose ledgers
  • Foreign currency valuation and translation
  • Period end closing process
  • Credit Card processes
  • Collection, Dispute, and Credit Management
  • Multi-currency global landscape
Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of SAP FICO experience including end-to-end project implementations
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4 HANA FICO
  • Must have worked in AR, AP, new GL, AA, and COPA areas
  • Comfortable with project management and managing a team of 6+
  • Prior experience managing onsite/offshore teams and project work
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of working in technology space
  • Experience of working in Asset accounting management, FSCM, BRS, FICA, BRF+ and RAR.
  • Experience in Retail space
  • Experience in sophisticated IT landscapes with numerous heterogenous systems interacting with each other
  • Ability to debug ABAP Code
  • Familiar with SDLC Methodologies like ASAP
  • SAP Certification in FICO

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
