Description

The Senior Scientist will work on developing new products and support existing products to meet the objectives of the Global R&D Industry using the BACT/ALERT reagents and instruments for Pharma Quality Control. They will provide technical support for customers globally and generate data to support feasibility concepts for Industry applications of BACT/ALERT reagents and instruments.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Data Generation: Plan and execute experiments based on project needs with efficient and effective experimental design. Conduct literature searches, perform data collection, keeping detailed and accurate records. Analyze and interpret data. Summarize data, write, review, and edit reports.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams at bioMerieux, Inc. both locally and globally. Present scientific results in written and/or oral form internally or at professional meetings. Review scientific publications, regulatory articles, patents, etc. Attend relevant technical meetings, seminars and training.
  • Key collaborators will include the global Pharmaceutical Quality Control business and Global functions such as marketing, customer service teams, and local manufacturing teams.
  • Track and record project results and progress to schedule, organize project files, edit and review all project documents and assure appropriate dissemination of information.
  • Coordinate and collaborate across teams for routine lab activities, cleaning, equipment maintenance, assigned tasks, and sharing of knowledge, skills, and ideas.

Job Qualifications:
  • Degree in microbiology/general biology or related field with:
    • Ph.D. +0 years relevant experience
    • M.S. +2 years relevant experience
    • B.S +5 years relevant experience in a regulated environment such as cGMP.
  • Fields of Knowledge: Microbiology preferred, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology
  • Experience in product development within microbiology field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of method validation within the Pharma Industry is preferred.
  • Proven ability towork with variable datasets, troubleshoot, and extract meaningful information to aid in decision-making.
