Position Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Senior SharePoint Online Specialist and become a vital contributor to support NASA as an Oceaneering Teammate on the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract. As an integral part of our organization, you'll play a crucial role to provide support to Systems Infrastructure section in the Science and Exploration Department on the NASA JSC Engineering, Technology and Science II (JETS II) Contract.

**International travel may be required. Straight time overtime, 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), and/or 1 day of telework per week may be available**

Duties & Responsibilities

SOME OF YOUR MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Help lead the migration project from SharePoint on-premises (SP 2016) to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 working closely with the primary SharePoint Developer/Administrator and SharePoint tester.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy, including planning, testing, and deployment phases.
• Help assess current SharePoint environment, identify migration requirements, and create migration plans and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with customer teams, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Help configure SharePoint Online and M365 settings, ensuring optimal performance and integration with other systems.
• Implement best practices for SharePoint Online governance, security, and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the primary SharePoint developer/administrator and end-users throughout the migration process.
• Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct post-migration reviews and evaluations to refine processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide regular, frequent, and as-needed communications to the end users and stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent certification in a related area and normally possess ten (10) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Expertise in migrating SharePoint from on-premises to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.

PREFERRED

• Typically has a BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college/univ - Ten (10) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading SharePoint migration efforts is required. Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Position is hybrid/onsite, and candidate should be Houston based.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with SharePoint Online administration, including configuration, customization, and integration.
• Knowledge of Office 365 applications and their integration with SharePoint Online.
• Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator or Lead, with a focus on migration projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, infrastructure, and best practices.
