Overview

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer in the Virginia area.

Position Overview:

Responsible for developing, deploying, testing, and debugging software initiatives, including end user training, and troubleshooting issues that may arise during implementation. The candidate will also assist the support team with trouble shooting documentation and acting as a level 2 support on applications implemented internally. The ability to write new code and modify existing code from both internal and external sources is required. Must have experience with Azure DevOps, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Javascript, JSON, React, Node, Next.js. Knowledge of HTMX, Python, SQL, Salesforce, tailwind, and containerization a plus. Must be able to manage initiatives individually or as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot applications
• Develop end user training and self-service training materials when applicable
• Utilize coding best practices for stability and security of applications
• Modify existing applications and code or originate new code
• Mange application life cycle, upgrades, and ensure application uptime
• Manage application change management
• Develop and use APIs to transfer data efficiently across the resorts multiple systems
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure developed solutions meet end user requirements and adhere to Resorts Companies Policies
• Work with IT Manager - Data, Analytics, and Programming on Help Desk knowledge base and documenting resolutions
• Act as a Level 2 support personnel for application performance and availability issues
• Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 5 to 7 years hands-on experience in the following: Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Javascript, JSON, React, Node, Next.js

Preferred Experience:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 8 to 10 years hands-on experience in the following: Azure Cloud Services, CI/CD Pipelines, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Javascript, JSON, React, Node, Next.js
• Knowledge of advanced concepts such as AI/Machine Learning
