Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with software development in the Java or Kotlin programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with the Android Platform/OS/Internals.
  • Experience with Privacy.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with Web Browsers and / or Chromium
  • Experience with software development in C .
  • Experience with Front-End Development and / or Operating Systems experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write and test product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Set the direction of a variety of Privacy Sandbox UX features across the Android Platform Operating System (OS) and Chrome on Android.
  • Mentor a team of junior engineers and accelerate the teams on-boarding into various products.
