Responsibilities
- Evaluate and implement emerging security technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance data protection capabilities and identify the privacy risk through product or software development lifecycle and propose actionable solutions based on best practices of data privacy.
- Implement security measures such as encryption, access controls, data anonymization, and secure data transfer mechanisms, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Establish procedures, rules and standards for applying privacy technologies to data life-cycles.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, security experts, and software engineers, to define data security requirements and implement effective solutions.
- Communicate regularly with legal, risk control organizations and leadership on status, risks, and business needs.
- Track and benchmark the latest domestic and international legal and regulatory requirements, and promote privacy and security gaps in the rectification process continued.
- Respond to emergency needs of privacy and establish collaboration processes.
- Solve unique, large-scale, and highly complex technical problems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

- Implementing reliable, fault-tolerant, scalable, and cost-effective data services and infrastructures and maintaining them by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall health of the system;
- Developing applications using Java, Angular, and SQL, including designing UI on the web application, creating servers and databases for back-end of the application, and ensuring cross-compatibility and optimization;
- Designing and modeling data warehouse to support data analytics, reporting, and data applications;
- Estimating SLAs for the data pipeline, and triaging and debugging data infrastructure issues;
- Working across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance of back-end and cloud native projects; and
- Performing Linux administration, including monitoring performance, debugging issues, monitoring network behavior and designing and troubleshooting networked applications using: OS networking protocol stack and OS concepts, including virtualization, containerization and memory management.

Type: Full time, 40 hours/week
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary Range: $187262 - $250000 per year
