This role is responsible for conducting all phases of software development and requires a system level understanding of how the software interacts with all system hardware and software components.

This is a remote position but candidates may have to come to the facility in Annapolis, MD from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct all phases of the secure software development life cycle.
  • Work with product security concepts, and keep abreast with fast moving security industry
  • Develop software-based tools to supportsystem development, integration, and verification
  • Influence teams on implementing all aspects of product security
  • Perform security development lifecycle gap analysis
  • Participate as a member of an application development team using object-oriented programming (OOP) with open-source software
  • Conduct Web Application development
  • Use static and dynamic analysis tools, including findings analysis, defect triage, and related risk analysis


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in the following skills are required to be considered for the position:
    • Angular development
    • Object-oriented software design and development
    • Experience in the complete secure SDLC
    • Web application development
  • Experience with one or more of the following is also required: (listed in order of preference)
    • Strong database and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) skills
    • Javascript
    • Python
    • Unix/Linux
    • Rapid development
    • Frameworks such as REST and/or Web Services
  • Communication skills to communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral form to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to adapt to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relational database integration, rapid/agile development methodologies, JavaScript, CSS.
