This position reports to

Maintenance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

This position occupies a key role in the manufacturing team of the ABB maintenance team in Pinetops NC. In this role, you will assist with the maintenance and continued efficiency of the production equipment to optimize technical and financial resources.

Qualifications for the role

• Working with the engineering and management team to specify maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities
• Consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety
• Solving major technical, equipment or facilities challenges to achieve higher performance of the production lines
• Reacting promptly to any emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, or other problems to minimize disruption to production
• Proposing improvements for processes and production lines aimed at reducing maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency
• Implementing health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives
• Applicants must have at least five years of experience in electrical and mechanical field working as a technician in an industrial maintenance setting.
• Demonstrated experience working on a production line equipment
• Knowledge in electronic controls is required.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• An associate degree in electrical/electronic or related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience is required.
